Strength of Partnership
Team 2435 has received continued support from the McMahon Foundation, Boeing, CGI, AEP/PSO, Great Plains Technology Center Foundation, Goodyear, Oklahoma National Guard, Ross Hankins Insurance and WTSI Global Services. This year we gained support from Fastenal, Lockheed Martin, Shiflett Transport Services, First National Bank of Fletcher, Fletcher/Elgin Funeral Home and Trent’s Pharmacy of Fletcher. Team parents and donors have generously provided meals during every build session. We partnered with Teams 2372 and 3457 for a Test-n-Tune to allow the teams to test their robots. One of our mentors provided software support and assistance to Team 2373.
In 2009 Team 2435 assisted Caddo-Kiowa County Technology Center’s robot team, Team 2373. They needed assistance in programming the software and wiring the robot because they did not have an electrical mentor for their team. One of Team 2435′s mentors helped them as if they were on the same team.
Team’s Communication and Results
In past years our team used online communication for members, but found that many team members do not use e-mail. This year we are using the School Reach program that sends out a mass phone message to all members of the team. We have also made a Facebook page to post meeting dates and other important events for members, parents and supporters. This change in our communication has helped tremendously as everyone receives the same information.
